In 2022 padel arrived in South Africa with full force. New courts in Sandton, Cape Town, Durban, Stellenbosch — players everywhere, hungry for the game. But the gear lagged behind. Imported off-the-shelf rackets at inflated prices. No specialist support. No brand that spoke our language.

Vantage was started by three players and one engineer who'd had enough. We sourced 12K carbon directly. We tested prototypes through a Stellenbosch summer. We worked with the country's top coaches to dial in geometry, balance and feel.
